About Capital Sixty
Capital Sixty is a niche boutique firm that specializes in energy industry startups. We are a cross between a venture capital firm and a private equity firm. While we invest in true startups, we also take a controlling interest at the beginning.
Our Approach
To us a true startup has a business plan, proforma, and an experienced CEO and possibly one or two other managers. We fund the company through the initial stages until it is cash flow positive. Both financial funding and human and technology resources are provided. For this, we take a majority interest in the company.
Once the company is cash flow positive, management can earn additional equity by reaching performance targets. Depending on performance, entrepreneurs can earn back a majority interest in the company.
